Genus Description:
They consist of a pseudobulb and a pair of leaves on top of it. Flower stalks come out from the pseudobulb.
They are widely known for their large, showy flowers varing from 5 cm to 15 cm or more. They occur in all colors except true blue and black.
Hybrids and species such as C. walkeriana 'Blue Moon' and Blc. Lois McNeil ‘Ace’ display light blue flowers.
